It is Tuesday morning in China, we have one more day here in China then Wed morning we drive to Hong Kong for an overnight stay and then we fly out on Thursday morning. We will arrive in Chicago Thursday early afternoon after a 14 hour flight.
The last couple of days the internet has been in and out in our hotel, so it has been hard to get out a post.
We met up with the families we traveled with in Beijing this week and it has been nice to have some familiar faces who are experiencing the same things we are going through.
We have been sight seeing here in the Guangzhou province between all of our official appointments. Tomorrow we get our final documents that allows Quinn to come home with us and become a US citizen.
Today we have as a free day, so we are spending our time making a few last purchases and packing our suitcases to see if we can get everything in we need to bring home.
Thank you to all who have been praying for us, God has been providing for us in amazing ways!

Safari Park

Yesterday we went to Safari Park Zoo. It was on the cool side but thankfully the rain held off. We took a train ride through first and then walked around. We saw all kinds of animals up close. Fed the giraffes and saw an elephant show. When we got back to our hotel we walked down to the Macau Restaurant for supper then spent the rest of the evening chillin' in our room.

Quinn was thrilled to get his own watch!

First English Sentence

The other evening we were deciding what to have for supper, we'd already been to a Chinese place down the road, called Noodles by the Americans, I don't know what the Chinese name is. And it is not like the Noodles up in Mishawaka. :) Anyway, it was very good. So Sam, Bereket and Quinn wanted to have that again. I, however wanted a break from Chinese food so I ordered a turkey club sandwich from room service, it came with fries too. It didn't take long for Quinn to grab a fry and dip it in the bowl of ketchup, followed by many more. So yesterday we decided to take them to McDonalds for lunch. He didn't like the chicken nuggets but ate up his fries and lots of ketchup! His first sentence, he repeated Sam saying, "I like french fries."  Sam also got him a sprite, it might have been his first taste of something with carbonation because his reaction said it all. He shook his head and waved his hand, no. I wish I'd of had the camera ready. He gave me another chance after a bit because he tried it again. This time he thought it was funny. Needless to say, water and juice are his drinks of choice - that's a good thing!

He wanted to take a picture of his food.

Quinn's Photography

I mentioned in an earlier post that Quinn loves taking pictures, thought I'd share some with you. :)

Medical Exam

Quinn had his medical exam today, this is so he can get his visa. He was a champ! Getting blood drawn was not welcome, he was scared and squirmy but he let me hold him and we got through it quickly and with no tears.
