Hey friends we made it to Chicago, not sure how much sleep we will get tonight, we are catching the 4:00 am shuttle. Who needs sleep anyway, we have 13 hours on a plane to sleep, yeah right!
Anyway, I can't tell you how peaceful it feels to be covered with so much prayer!
Blessings, Sam

The call we've been waiting for came today! We have a court date in Ethiopia on March 13th! One week from today we will be in Ethiopia and we'll see our son! The waiting was getting hard but God's timing is perfect. We covet your prayers for travel and also the time we get to spend with "B". After court next Wednesday we can finally share his picture. We also received an update on him today and he said he is very happy about having a permanent family and can’t wait to meet us and he said he wants to play with the entire family and help his mother cook...smile! He will be surprised to find out how often his father cooks! My heart is full tonight. There is nothing like being in the center of God's will! He is faithful and true!

MOWCYA letter
We are expecting to receive our MOWCYA recommendation any day. As soon as we receive our recommendation we will receive our court date, which will probably be mid March.
Pray we will hear about our court date this week so that we can travel to Ethiopia and finalize the adoption of our son.

We have received our referral! A week ago Thursday evening as Sam was frying up bacon for BLT's and I was getting things together for a Thirty-One party, we got the call! We are getting a son from Ethiopia! This was totally unexpected as we are still finalizing our paperwork and home study. Praise God for His ways are better than our ways and His timing is perfect! We can not give our son's name or identifying information until we have legal custody but wanted to share the exciting news with you!

| Your morning cup could mean so much more. |
Just Love Coffee is an inspiring company allowing adoptive families the opportunity to raise money by hosting their own online storefront through the domain, justlovecoffee.com. In their first two years of business, Just Love Coffee has given away over $200,000 to adopting families, orphan care, and non-profit organizations. Once a supporter makes a purchase, Just Love Coffee will process the order, and return $5 per 13oz bag of Fair Trade Certified coffee. Every bag of Just Love Coffee you purchase is a blend of coffee and love.
Thank you for helping us share the love!

Oh my! Almost four months have gone by since I posted on our blog. I have decided I'm not a blogger........but I want to see this through so I can share the joy when our child comes home. First, I want to share about our garage sale fundraiser; we were BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE between the sale and donations to put $8,000.00 in our adoption fund! Thank you to so many that helped us! God is so good!
We have been doing the paper chase for the last four months. We are actually starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We have two more home study visits scheduled this month and are continuing to get all the paperwork done.
We are having a Dan's Fish Fry Adoption Fundraiser on Saturday, October 27th. It will be held in our church fellowship hall. We'll need lots of help that afternoon/evening setting up, breading, serving, cleaning up and also selling tickets ahead of time. I have to admit, asking for help is not an easy thing for us to do but we continue to remind ourselves that it's not about us. It is about giving a child what every child deserves - a family.
I will try to post again soon and certainly not wait four more months.
Blessings to you,
Diane
